So the time has come for our next adventure. My buddy Neil and I have just driven north to Whitehorse from Calgary. The time was amazing with tons of visiting with friends and quite a bit of fishing too. The main reason for the trip north was to get up here to paddle the Yukon river from Whitehorse to Dawson City- the last leg of the journey to get to the Klondike Goldrush. Shona has joined me in Whitehorse for the adventure- the next two weeks will be an epic journey in a canoe - I can't wait!!!! Stay tuned for the update.
For now here are a few pics from the boys road trip.
Good to be back on the road with Kumu.
A much needed stop in Edmonton for one of Mike and Mel's legendary camp fires.
It wouldn't be true redneck Alberta without shooting a few guns.
Neil driving the bus.
Neil and his Grayling catch.
Tending to the fire.
Canola!!!!!
30 kms off the Stewart Cassiar highway on the way to what would have been an epic campsite. The road was washed out so we will never know how rad the site actually was.
The north.
Beauty lake.
This was just after midnight...still light out.
A sweet spot.
LOVE IT!! So glad you guys were able to hit up our place (AND a legendary Chalmers Campfire) on the way North...there's nothing better than a warm summer's night, roaring fire & good friends.
