Chillan

So I can´t believe how far we´ve come. We were getting the itch to get into the mountains again so we cruised down the fairly uneventful northern Chile and got right into Santiago. This only furthered our itch when we saw the surrounding mountains from a neat little peak in the middle of the city. The next day we got on the road and before we knew it, we were up at a wicked ski resort that I went to a couple of years ago, Termas de Chillan. Driving up to the mountain we could see the snow and our smiles immediately began to widen. I guess thats what missing an entire year of skiing will do to you.

A few keeners going up for some early season turns.

The debrief of the sick turns.

Its not just a cool name, there are tons of thermals in the area.

Happy to be back at home.....

Oh, on the way we went through the quite famous Chilean wine region, note all the great wines we picked up and have stored in our wine rack.

We have been looking at the map and are trying to figure out which way we are going to head  through Patagonia. Apparently there can be quite a bit of snow at this time of year, so it could get interesting. We just got a little sample of Patagonia today and there is a good chance this could be the most amazing part of the trip....
